I am. I'm going to be in Loudon in June and Atlanta in September(8 hours away). Homestead is a possibility again. Homestead is only 4 hours away.

I'm bummed I didn't go to Daytona today. I'm only 2 hours or so away (Tampa area). I think I might have to go next year, especially if they do qualifying, ARCA and the Shootout all in the same day again. The most expensive ticket was $99. I've been to the 500 and that is CRAZY! I don't know if I'd ever do it again.

I wanna go to BRISTOL this year and Atlanta is a MUST since I am 30 min from the track. I wasn't impressed with Dega last time I went.

Bristol is awesome!! Just a LONG ride from the Tampa area. I've been to the March race 2x's.

Atlanta is great, especially now that it's a night race. I've been 3x's. Major tailgating!

I hadn't been to a night race until this past fall AMS race. I saw the Nationwide night race too. It was awesome! We did major tailgating the afternoon before the Nationwide race. We did a seafood bake, with corn, potatos, shrimp, mussels, clams, sausage...it was awesome. And of course some beer.

I very rarely post but had to add my view of the races. I use to go a lot and the best race is Bristol night. Did it with a group and loved it. They drive you in and you enjoy the race.

I will be in Vegas the same time as the race but to see Garth Brooks and not the race. But Vegas is a great track--Bruton Smith always thinks of fans first. Love Texas where he has the longhorns walking into the track.

Have never been to the Daytona race but I don't like the larger tracks were you can hardly see the color of the cars at the far end of the track. I think it is better to watch in TV.

Since retirement, don't go much--it is too long of a day for me but have seen some great racing. Dover is my home track since it is only about 1/2 hour away and I love the racing on banked tracks. In fact, we are suppose to get a second blizzard tomorrow and my hubby and I have decided not to tough it out and I am booked for 3 days into Dover Downs. I'll watch the twin races in the sports parlor there.

All the tracks are great--some are better than others.

Yep... sometimes you just gott'a do something for yourself! Looking forward to it too! I actually just went to Southwest to check airfare but there's no way Spring Break fares are still up it would have been over 300 bucks to fly there when I can drive it in what about 10 hours give or take (depending on how many times I stop)... isn't that about right Michele, now that you know were the turn off for Dos Palos is (however the one you saw is probably a good 30 miles at least from town...

Ten hours sounds about right. I bet if i was by myself I could drive it in 8-9. I just picked up my friend at the airport and man was it packed. I guess with spring break and spring training, arizona is the place to be.

I talked to the guy about the tickets and he's saving them for me to pick up on Monday. I am making chili for after the race on Saturday and I nthink Betty would like the peanut butter rice crispy treats again.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Great, so he still had them... nice! No problem on the Rice Krispies, I can actually make them at home and just bring with with me if that is easier...

Drive time shouldn't be bad, as you said it's just me so I'll just stop shortly for gas, potty breaks and I'll more than likely just survive on drive thru...

Can't wait! Lets see, I'm going to the Race the 9th and 10th... then Disneyland the 28th-30th... good month!
